Today was a great day at Nature's Classroom. This morning we all met at the cafeteria for breakfast which included French toast, bacon, and cereal. Then we got into our field groups and did different activities. Some groups went on a hike up Sunset mountain, which once you got to the top, you had a beautiful view of Lake George. Other groups played team building games.
After our two hour activities in our field groups, we had lunch. For lunch we had potato chips and hamburgers. After lunch we were introduced to todays workshop classes. Some classes included making bouncy balls, disecting a baby shark, fruit or garbage or we could make our own roller coasters.
Our trip to Nature's Classroom has been great. The weather has been beautiful here in Lake George. It has rained a little, but mostly it has been sunny. Everyone here misses you all and we can't wait to see everyone once we get back.

Meaghan, we all miss you guys. It sounds like you are having fun and worried about what you eat. Hope you all do great with the ort. Can't wait till you guys get back and tell us all about it.

Right now Cash is barking at the tv and Lindsey and Daddy are studying for a Brazil test.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are learning a lot at Nature's Classroom, whether it is hiking to the top of Sunset Mountain, doing team building games, making bouncy balls or roller coasters, or dissecting a baby shark (that had to be interesting).
I'm glad you have nice weather in Lake George. It has been raining here all day. The weather in Lake George should be better tomorrow with sunny conditions and temperatures in the low 60s -- that's nice golfing weather.
I wish you could write more about your experiences; however, I know you will tell all of us about Nature's Classroom when you get home on Friday.

ReplyDeleteWell, I can tell from your blog that you are being well fed up there in NC. Didn't I tell you that you would enjoy the "eats?"
I am glad that the weather was nicer up north than it was here in Albany. Today should be absolutely gorgeous.
It sounds like the NC teachers have put together some really interesting classes for you guys. What did you think about the hike? Was the view worth it after all of that uphill walking?
I look forward to reading about your adventures today. Something tells me that with the nice weather, you will probably have a very memorable experience tonight. Have fun--I wish I were there with you all.

I heard how they are waking the boys up. How are they waking up the girls? Have they learned that you do not like to get out of the bed in the morning?
I heard that Jessica was feeling a little sick the other day. I hope that she is feeling better.
The pictures that are being taken are wonderful! Try getting in one so I can see your face. I really miss you!
